A Lesson in Possibilities, Special Edition

ISBN: 978-0-9859966-4-2

my head is an egg, a god
giving birth to sparrows
                                 more gods

Lambert's newest collection of poetry still centers on the anatomy of birds, but here, the focus is on the sacred: Brahminy Kite, for example, who "legend tells us, is born of fire,/ is called Garuda, is big enough to block the sun" or the Simurgh, who is "as large as thirty birds, large enough to lift a whale in her claws."

Another hand-stitched, signed and numbered artifact, this gorgeous book is independently published, a project supported by an Artist in the Community Resource Grant from the Greater Columbus Arts Council.
